Ho'omaha is a beautiful property located in Cabuya. Walking distance to some restaurants, shops, the ocean, the nature reserve, cemetery island & only a few minutes drive from a super fun point break. Like the meaning of Ho'omaha - rest and relax, here, you can do just that!
The studio's are brand new & modern. All come with AC, a small kitchen, hot water and luxurious comfort. Here you can slow down, not be bothered by huge crowds, enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the nature reserve nearby.
SURF & STAY PACKAGES
Our Surf & Stay packages are from any Saturday or Sunday for six nights. If you prefer to book just the accommodations that is also possible!
The Surf & Stay package is $1850 for 1 person and $2400 for 2 people, it includes the following.
Surf lessons
4 surf sessions in Cabuya or Mal Pais. 2 students per coach ratio.
Free Wifi
There is fast wifi available at the hotel.
Breakfast items will be in your kitchen at arrival & there are great restaurants nearby for other meals.
Your accommodations will be
cleaned daily.
6 nights stay in private studio. Starting from any Saturday or Sunday.
The hotel has a small pool to cool off in on a sunny hot day!

CABUYA
Cabuya is right next to the beautiful Nature Reserve Cabo Blanco & peacefully quiet. In our opinion, here you can get a true feel of what Costa Rica used to be, but just a half hour from booming Santa Teresa so you can easily go visit and then come back to our Oasis. Santa Teresa draws crowds in high season and we prefer to be close to one of the only point break in the area & surf our heart out.
You can hike the Nature reserve with a local guide & you can also hike to cemetery island on low tide. There is an animal sanctuary in Cabuya that has visiting hours. We are also close to the Montezuma waterfall and the road from Cabuya to Montezuma goes along the coastline here and it's truly stunning with many beautiful uncrowded beaches. There is a local bakery with the best food and a few other local restaurants.
THINGS TO DO IN CABUYA
Nature reserve hike
The most beautiful Nature reserve with great trails for hiking and lots of wildlife. A guide will come with you.
Boat trip
Leaving from Cabuya, just down the road from us.. A boat will take you fishing on the ocean or find whales.
hike to cemetery island
A very unique place in Cabuya is cemetery island, on low tide you can hike to the island.
Animal sanctuary
In Cabuya we have an animal sanctuary that saves animals and takes care of them. You can visit the sanctuary on certain dates.
Waterfall hike
Nearby town Montezuma has a fun hike to a big beautiful waterfall where you can swim.
Surfing
Cabuya has some amazing reef breaks that we love! Just a few minutes drive from our location.

We moved to Costa Rica 15 years ago and started the Surf camp Lucero in Santa Teresa, in 2007 we build a hotel and over the years our family has grown. We now have 4 kids, we sold the hotel in Santa and build Ho'omaha in Cabuya!
